“It is All God, it is All God!!!”

by Pastor Jerry Theckston

Shalom dear friends and saints!  It has been a long absence- please forgive me!  The International ministries have continued uninterrupted but a few things in life have added to the challenge this year.

I have a yearly health checkup which, by God’s grace, has always turned out great!  This last January it looked to be the same except my PSA, which can indicate prostate cancer was quite high.  Over the next few months after more testing and a biopsy it became clear that I had, “advanced, very aggressive” prostate cancer.  I have a wonderful, very skilled Urologist who loves Jesus!  With regret he said we were way passed any treatment options and for the next 5 months we just waited for the disease to take its course until my doctor said that he wanted to remove the prostate in hopes of slowing the cancer down enough to possibly extend my days a bit. But he reiterated again, “this is No cure!”

So this is what we did on Nov. 11th.  The pain following the surgery was the worst I have ever experienced but that first night in the hospital, about 1 am, the Spirit of Jesus came into my room, told me a couple things to do and immediately this horrific pain was taken away!  A week later when the doctor asked us to come back and review the lab reports, we found out that the pain the Lord had taken away a week earlier was not all that He removed!  The doctor watered up as he said, ”There is No cancer, anywhere, All of it is Gone!”  All he could say after that was, “It is All God, it is All God!!!”

Nothing is impossible for our God!!! I know that many, especially my beautiful wife Susan, believed God wanted to do a miracle- and He did!!

Besides this cancer journey, two of my brothers passed within the past  five months, the youngest just two weeks ago!  For a while it looked like all three of us were going to be home with Jesus about the same time. But the Lord made clear that I needed to wait a bit longer because the work He had prepared for me was not yet finished- then I could graduate!

I wanted to post this personal update first because many of our friends in different Countries have been praying, interceding and fasting and in their personal and ministry updates they allude to what I have written above!  We will post their updates shortly!

All of us are on the most exciting journey of all, and like Paul just want to say at the end of it:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have kept the faith!”  All to the Glory of God!!!
