Below is a letter from Dr. Lev Prystupiuk, a dear friend from Ukraine who courageously goes right up to the front lines with Rolfe and me in the War between Ukraine and Russia. He is not only our translator but one of our dearest friends and a faithful witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When we are not in Ukraine he regularly heads to the most intense conflict zones to care for the medical needs of people who otherwise would have little or no care at all!!
(The personal remarks are about my recent experience with terminal cancer and God’s miraculous cure!)
Shalom, dear Jerry!

You have always been in my prayers and in my thoughts, dear brother. I wanted to write you many times, but honestly, I was afraid to ask how you were doing… I know everything is in the Lord’s hands, yet I worried and cared about you very much.
Hearing your testimony now fills my heart with joy and awe, this is all the Lord, His mercy, His miracle, His healing touch. You are His faithful servant, obedient to His voice, and a true mentor to me. I praise God for what He has done in your body and in your spirit. Nothing is too hard for our Lord!
I am deeply sorry for your brother Kim’s passing… but I rejoice that he is now in the arms of our Savior, free from pain, home at last. May the Lord comfort your heart and give you His peace.
Things here remain difficult. I truly hope and believe that the war in Ukraine will end soon. But we still have problems with electricity, and almost every day we hear explosions from incoming missiles and drones. Still, we have hope and we lean on our Lord in everything. He is our strength.

Toma, my family and I are doing well, thank God. We continue working and helping those in need. Every two weeks, together with Zhenya, I go to the East, to Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, to bring medical care. And through the stroke service improvement program, I have missions in Moldova, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Jerry, of course I will do everything you ask. I will deliver the money to everyone you tell me to. You can rely on me completely. Thank you for trusting me again, it means more than I can say.
Please, tell me what more I can do for you now. How can I serve you, my dear brother?
With love, gratitude, and deep respect,
In Jesus love,
Lev

The joy of the Lord surely is your strength! God bless you all.
