Lucy Mburu Kenya Ministry to Orphans and Elderly

Our dear friend Lucy Mburu serves both ends of the spectrum that often are abandoned!  It is such a joy to see children in classes and with the satisfaction of having at least one meal a day!  Can you imagine what each one of these precious, beautiful lives mean to Jesus?!

At the other end of the spectrum are the elderly, who many question why they should even live!  But it is the elders in any culture who carry the wisdom, the mature faith and cultural experience that builds community and life giving continuity between the generations!

Kids with full bellies express a boundless energy and sense of possibilities in life… but sadly some of the young college age students who often help with Lucy’s ministry carry the burden of poverty on their faces.  I am sure that the Lord has more for each of them, but how can we help?  Matthew 9:36-38. The answer always starts with prayer, but that is a scary prospect because God’s answer often involves our direct involvement as His hands and feet…
