Our friend, Enos, has received many messages and pictures from the severe flooding which has recently happened in Kenya.
I just received some disturbing news that the government is demolishing all buildings on riparian lands 30 metres from the river. This has affected so many residents of Mathare and about 50 parents in our school who are currently being hosted in the upper school block.
Families were given 6 hours notice to vacate their houses. There are running battles with police in Mathare around the school. The whole area was in a smoke of teargas the entire Wednesday afternoon.
Residents are protesting the demolition of their houses.
